Apples is a young Junimo that shows up in Aurora Vineyard after completing the Community Center among other conditions (namely 138 ingame days of playtime (spring 28, year 2)). After fulfilling their request to deliver 200 Starfruits to the building, Apples will become a gift-able friend. They are also available as a roommate. If you wish to bypass this, you will need to edit the content.json file in a text editor. Description: Other Friends
The Player meets Apples outside of the Vineyard. Apples tells the player they have been redecorating and invites you in to see. Inside, all of the old furniture is gone. It has been replaced with bushes and many Starfruit plants in the final growth stage. Apples excitedly gives the player three Starfruits to celebrate. Apples introduces you to a nearby Starfruit named 'Donna' and then one named 'Fig' and another named 'Holly.' You learn from Apples the other Junimos said they should make more friends, so Apples grew these Starfruits and named them. Apples then takes the player offscreen to meet the Starfruits in the basement. (+50 friendship)
Apples spots the Farmer as they walk through Forest West, excitedly jumping from a bush. Apples asks to play. You can choose one of two options:
"Sure, let's play!"(+30 friendship)
Apples is extremely excited to play. A montage plays of the Farmer and Apples playing on the vineyard grounds and in the forest. Andy appears, surprised at the Farmer's odd behavior. Apple's says Andy can't see them and Andy leaves, preferring to leave the Farmer to their business. Apples asks to play longer.
"Sorry, maybe another time."(-125 friendship)
Apples is quiet. They sadly begin walking away, then pause to suggest they will go play with the bear instead.
The player enters Aurora Vineyard to find a sad Apples alone in the old living room. The other Junimo's are upset with Apples for turning the vineyard into a home instead of repairing it, so they have not come to the party. Apples explains they chose to make a new home for their Junimo friends instead of fixing the building. Apples questions if this was a mistake. You can respond three ways:
"You didn't do anything wrong."
Apples: "Other friends don’t say that. They say Apples wrong."
"You should've repaired Aurora Vineyard."
Apples: "Apples make big mistake. Apples sorry. Apples only wanted to make new home for other friends..."
"You made other plant friends. They aren't a mistake."
Apples: "...Apples did make more friends..."
Whichever response you give, Apples will walk away and then cancel the party, since even Bear didn't show up. As the player leaves Aurora Vineyard, they run into Bear who is late from sleeping in. Apples is excited to see someone else came. Bear has brought a special maple syrup for the party and asks Apples to introduce him to their Starfruit friends. Apples gets excited again and the player laughs. Offscreen the rest of the party is a fun time. Afterward, if the player speaks to Apples, they will wonder if their other friends will ever play with them again.
The player sees a cutscene with Apples and Peaches in the Junimo village. The entire dialog takes place in Junimo 'meeps' but Peaches appears to be speaking on Apples' behalf. Several other Junimos speak, and Peaches responds. Eventually, Apples steps forward and 'meeps' quietly. The village Junimo's speak with each other and turn back to Peaches and Apples and 'meep' loudly. Apples 'meeps' loudly then dances with Peaches as the other Junimo's jump up and down.
Aurora Vineyard is full of Apples' Junimo friends saying hello to their Starfruit friends. Peaches and the Bear are there as well. The player enters and is greeted by the Bear and Apples. Peaches questions Apples in Junimo 'meeps' and Apples responds excitedly. Peaches comes up to the player and says hello in Junimo. Apples then invites everyone downstairs to the Mother Starfruit Tree. Apples and Peaches dance while the other Junimo's jump up and down.
As the player enters the farm in the morning, a short cutscene plays to inform them that they can now acquire a special item at the shops in the Junimo Woods.

Description: Future of Aurora Vineyard
Apples and Peaches arrive at the farm. Apples thanks the player for their friendship and seeks advise on whether they should stay at the overgrown Aurora Vineyard together with Peaches or if Apples should restore the Vineyard and return to the Junimo Woods.
The player is given the opportunity to pick between the two options.
If Aurora Vineyard is restored, Apples and Peaches will stay at the Junimo Forest and the Starfruit plants and the Mothertree will be relocated to the Junimo Forest as well. If the player chooses to keep the Vineyard as it is, Apples routine will not change.
When talking to Apples throughout the year, they may excitedly gift the player an item they found in the woods. These gifts range from common resource materials to rare plants and seeds. Below is a list of possible items and what Apples says when they gift an item to you.
