绯红荒原是一片位于古代黑魔法创造出来的盖多兰大陆上的沙漠废土。
为了解锁绯红荒原，玩家需要完成魔法树林的任务线，经历过马龙的银河之剑事件，在探险家公会见到了卡米拉，移除了挡在山顶的巨石，到达过姜岛火山的火山口。
绯红荒原上有几个地点，包括了北部的城堡村入口（截至1.13.11版本不可进入），东南部的一片绿洲，南部的骷髅墓地以及西南部的宝藏洞穴入口。
几种骨头古物在骷髅墓地随处可见，绿洲里也会有两种鱼可供垂钓。
在荒原的最西边是铱矿场，这是荒原的一个分支，充满了铱矿点，但被更强大的腐化木乃伊守卫。
在绯红荒原时，SVE默认使用盖多兰主题用作用户界面。

在铁矿车入口的南部有一片绿洲，可以钓到两种独特的鱼类。在这里钓鱼是十分危险的，怪物会在你等待鱼上钩的时候不断攻击，最好在抛出鱼线之前先清理掉周边地区的怪物。
